The Festival has branched out this year and started a superb yarn-bombing event around Mumbles Pier, which is an absolute must-see! Plus we have a fabulous schools project that means we have deckchairs from our talented schoolchildren on display. After fundraising by Alyson we were able to purchase deckchairs and with help from Mike of Lee Mills Fabrics we gave the schools the chairs and new fabric, they were to decorate the chairs using the theme of the Sea. Each chair has been sponsored (with labels on chairs to show who the sponsor is) and we also have labels to show the school's participation. So if you were so kind to sponsor a chair or are from schools that took part you will be able to find your chair either in Swansea Museum's garden or Mumbles Pier. If you take a good look around the displays you are going to be amazed at the variety and quality of the sea creatures and characters on display. Mermaids, pirates, fish, whales, dolphins, nets, lighthouses, turtles, jellyfish, starfish, octopii, seaweed, an enormous ice- cream cone and lovely lollies.
Thanks to Robi and Joyce for the photographs - a fun trip to see all this at Mumbles Pier..
