About Swansea Festival of Stitch
The Swansea Festival of Stitch was launched in 2016 to showcase the talent of local stitch and quilt enthusiasts. Its reach was wide ranging incorporating textile art, quilting, spinning and weaving. Following its huge success the Festival has become a biennial event and this year, organisers are extending the scope of the Festival to embrace the quilting talent that abounds across Wales.
The Quilt Expo has been introduced to enhance the Textile exhibitions sited in venues around Swansea city centre, and the Masterclasses held at Swansea Museum that will be running for the entire Festival period.
It will also run alongside the following events which are being held on the middle weekend of the Festival - Saturday & Sunday 18th & 19th August 2018
• Makers and Traders Market which is being held at the National Waterfront Museum
• Little Shop of Skills, offering free taster sessions in a large marquee in Princess Way
